Brendalyn is a wife, mother, and grandmother. Writing has been her passion since childhood. She is the  author of the Adventures in the Magical Forest series, with other series on the way.

She is a published writer of poetry, devotionals, and personal experience articles. Her articles have appeared in several online sites and in over a dozen devotionals, including  two Chicken Soup for the Soul's books; Devotional Stories for Mothers and My Dog's Life, Kathy Collard Miller’s God’s Abundance - 365 Days to to a Simpler Life, two of  Callie Smith Grants' books; A Prince Among Dogs and The Dog at My Feet, and two of Eve Marie Everson’s books; One Vow and True Love.

Brendalyn performs Poetry and Spoken Word with Gifted Skillz Entertainment Inc. under the name “Wordsmith” and is co-host of its Sunday radio program, Frontline Prayer Warriors, on the Christlike Radio Station (CLR).

In 1996 she was appointed by Chief Justice Stanley Feldman, to be the first Poet Laureate of the Arizona Supreme Court. She served from 1996 to 2014.
